Early ACCESS

Helping Families & Children Grow

Early ACCESS is a partnership between families with young children, birth through age three and providers from local Public Health, Human Services, Child Health Specialty Clinics, Area Education Agencies, and other community programs. 

We will help you identify needs and services that will be beneficial to your child and family. Early ACCESS providers will support you in learning to address your child’s needs within natural environments using a team approach. You are your child’s “first” teacher and he/she learns best in your daily routines and activities.

Early ACCESS services are provided at no cost and is a voluntary program.

More About Early ACCESS Services

If your child is under age 3 and the team agrees that Early ACCESS services would help, these services are provided at no cost to your family. Your child may be eligible if he/she has a diagnosed condition that is likely to result in a developmental delay. Your child may also receive services if he/she shows signs of a delay in any of these areas:  

• Cognitive, Communication, Physical, Social-Emotional, and Adaptive Behavior

Your Early ACCESS team will work with you to create an Individualized Family Service Plan specific for your child. They also identify routines, plan activities, and set goals to support your child’s development. Services are provided face-to-face and/or virtually in the home or community. Service providers do their best to schedule visits that fit your family’s needs..
