Iowa Code for Competency Based Education (CBE)
Students demonstrate learning from situations outside our classrooms all the time. Sometimes they happen in other classes, sometimes from outside school experiences, and yet they often relate to the same content we are trying to teach. Just because the learning didn’t happen in front of a teacher in a classroom during a traditional class period doesn’t mean a student can’t earn credit for that learning.
